In the owner's words
We are Frantisek Strouhal and Chantal Robert, the founders of Global Symphony for a United World. For many decades we have been on a spiritual journey devoted to understanding ourselves and our global interconnection, and we felt it was vital to share what we learned. Through visual art and writing, we help people seeking transformation and healing. Our motto is Unity through Love, Kindness and Compassion. Every spring we hold a gathering at the Brilliant Cultural Centre near Castlegar, with choirs, bands and a few hundred people. Through the year we open our own home for smaller evenings of live music and conversation. Since 2025 we have sent musicians into seniors' residences to play for the residents. We also give away kindness prints. We repair a second-hand frame, print a small artwork, pair it with the writing that belongs to it, and hand it to someone who has been kind or who could use being seen. Hundreds have gone out that way. We are a federally incorporated non-profit and not a registered charity, so we cannot issue tax receipts. Most of what we do we pay for ourselves.
