Vale of the Fae

Vale of the Fae Tattoo Studio is a private, appointment-only blackwork tattoo studio in downtown Castlegar, BC, serving the West Kootenays, including Nelson, Trail and Rossland. Every tattoo is designed and tattooed by artist Alyssa Schollaardt, who has been tattooing since 2018 and works exclusively in her own illustrative blackwork style, inspired by nature, folklore and the body's movement. Offerings include custom pieces, flash designs, freehand tattoos and scar cover-ups. There are no walk-ins: every session is booked ahead, so it happens in a calm, quiet, low-sensory space with no interruptions. The exact address is shared once your booking is confirmed. Requests can be made through the booking form on the website.
