First, the businesses' own websites: 3,224 of 5,682 entries link to one, and where a business publishes its own details, its own words outrank everything else. Then the region's public directories: chambers of commerce, municipal and visitor listings, OpenStreetMap. And for the businesses that keep no web presence at all, the civic registers any resident can consult, from Interior Health's public food-facility register to Technical Safety BC's licence rolls. Every entry names its source and carries the date it was last seen there.
