Most of the region's garden centres & nurseries are in Castlegar, Creston and Grand Forks. In all, they are in 9 towns. About half have their own website. For the rest, the phone number is the best way in.
Garden centres have a short season here. The spring rush is most of their year, and by late summer the best plants are gone. Talk to the person watering the plants. They know what really lives through a winter this high up, and the tag does not say that. They all take calls, which is the quickest way to ask if what you want has come in.
