Where to find them

Most of the region's convenience stores are in Cranbrook, Creston and Fernie. In all, they are in 30 towns. About a third have their own website. For the rest, the phone number is the best way in.

Corner stores are the least likely business in the region to be online at all. They also reach more small towns than any other shop. In many places the corner store is the only shop in town. It sells milk, propane, bait and lottery tickets, and it has the notice board by the door. Hours vary the most of any trade here, so call to check.
