The List is built from the region's public record, so a business with no website, no chamber listing and no licence-roll entry is invisible to every source I read. That is the gap this form closes. Listing is free, and it stays free.

What gets listed

  • A real business, currently operating.
  • In the Kootenays.
  • Reachable by phone or website.

A storefront is not required. Plenty of good businesses here run out of a truck or a spare room.

What happens next

A person reads it, usually within a week. I check the business is real and reachable, then it goes up. Nothing publishes automatically. That is slower, and it is the reason the register is worth trusting.

How this entry will be marked

Most listings say when they were last seen in a public source. Yours cannot, because the source is you. So it carries its own stamp, filed by the owner, with the date. Both are honest, and neither pretends to be the other.

Closest is fine. I file it properly before it goes up.

How people reach them

One of the two is enough.

Only if there is a place customers actually visit. Working from home or out of a truck is normal here, and the listing works fine without it.
